Rare Collectible Mid Century Gold Betty Boop Pendant
Own a piece of history with this unique hand-engraving of Betty Boop on non-breakable jeweler's glass, made in the 1950's. She is sitting in a cocktail glass with bubbles around her, and the engraving itself is fully encased in a 14k gold wrap around frame.
This is truly one of a kind, and a real collector's piece.
Betty Boop was based on "Baby Esther", a black singer at the Cotton Club in Harlem New York in the 1920s. She was considered the first "feminist cartoon character" because she not only was the first animated female to lean into her sexuality, but she was also independent and confident, never needing a male counterpart to be her savior.
This is your chance to own a rare piece of history from a story untold by a face very known.
Amazing condition for its age.
Makers Mark - 14k
Colors and engraving ageless/permanent.
The pendant does not need to be taken off for showers ect. Only exception would be frequent exposure to chlorine (pool time).
Betty Boop can literally live over your heart forever and an extra day.
