The Godmother - A Personalized Gold Talisman
Become your own mythology. Enjoy and celebrate all your bests. Enjoy and revel in your own marvel.
Some women wear symbols of power. Others become the symbol.
La Madrina transforms your own likeness into a sculptural talisman, hand carved after your image and crafted in 14k solid yellow gold. A miniature monument to the self; an intimate, unapologetic celebration of the woman you are.
Neither muse nor ideal, she is you - immortalized in gold - a little divine, a little dangerous, and entirely her own.
Designed in LA, hand carved by our artist in Italy, and finally crafted back in LA, this personal monument is as divine and unique as humanly possible.
Every pendant begins with the client's own image, making each piece deeply personal and uniquely its own. More than a portrait, La Madrina is an emblem of identity, femininity, and self possession: a modern heirloom that puts you, quite literally, at the center of your own mythology.
Each piece is made to order from the client's likeness, and you'll approve the mold at the final stage before we pour the gold.
Your image. Your icon. Your legacy.
The process is as follows: After purchasing La Madrina, please email me at contact@theboldgold.com
with your order number and THREE pictures of your face, preferably one front-facing, one of your left side, and one of your right side. If I need additional pictures, I will reach back out.
Please also include your desired hairstyle. The body will stay as it is pictured here unless given other instructions.
Proudly handmade with love in Downtown Los Angeles by immigrants, this statement pendant is LA all day. It is not your run-of-the-mill, factory-made gold. This is soul-made gold—gold with character and California-grown sunshine.
Once you order, La Madrina will be designed here in LA, and the wax will be hand carved in Italy by our trusted sculptor. We then make it from scratch in our downtown LA studio, and it's well worth the wait.
Current turnaround time is 4 weeks.
